Surrey RoadSafe are launching their second dedicated pedestrian campaign, running from 24th Jan – 17th Feb 2023.
In 2021 pedestrians accounted for 38% of all fatalities from RTCs within Surrey and 14% of KSIs. Data shows that those most at risk are aged 15-19 years old and around commuting times.
With this campaign we are looking to encourage all road users, particularly drivers, to #BeAware, especially around urban areas where you will see more pedestrians. Radio airtime and social media assets have been created to help share this message of shared responsibility and raise awareness to the vulnerabilities of those on foot at any time of day.
