Did you know motorcyclists account for just 1% of total road traffic, despite this they account for 20% of death and serious injuries on UK roads?

One major contributing factor for this is the motorcyclists lack of protective features, compared to those afforded to motor vehicles; seat belts and airbags for example. Motorcyclists are therefore, one of the most vulnerable groups of road users and as such, require special attention and focus to help improve their safety on the roads.

Surrey RoadSafe frequently run dedicated awareness campaigns to promote behavioural change amongst motorcyclists and other road user groups to help improve their safety. We also support safer motorcycling through education, road safety tips and advice and training resources to help improve road craft skills.

This section is packed with common sense advice to help motorcyclists stay safe on the roads. Please read the information carefully and revisit the site often for the latest updates.
